One of the purposes behind us creating embroidery designs is to help a product or a brand stand out. While engaged in these tasks, we could have received plenty of advices as to how to make an embroidery design stand out. Some we take in, others we discard.

Whatever we do, we often take those minor details for granted and focus only on the elements that we deem as important. If you hadn’t realized till now, it is often those minor details that would make or break a design, which makes it important that we take care of them. But why is that the minor details hold much importance?

Embroidery Digitizing Service

The one important fact about minor details is that they would serve as the defining difference between your design and those of your competitors. It can also be the determining factor of whether you win or lose a customer. So, keeping track of these small and tiny details while embroidering the digitized designs can help you have the best output.

Here are a few tips that would ensure that the minor details are taken care of and that you have an exuberant outlook to the designs:

  • Trimming the Designs – Embroidery digitizing is an extremely tiring process. You would have to create or edit the digitized artwork and sew it under an embroidery machine. If, for some reason, you have misplaced something, then fixing it is even more difficult. After sewing embroidery designs comes the part where you need to trim it. If you think that it is an unnecessary task, be reminded that it is worth the time and effort. It is much important on light garments. While trimming, make sure that you are not coming too close to the embroidery. The best practice is to keep the trimmed area about half an inch away from the design. You should also evenly cut the stabilizer on lighter garments, to prevent the backing showing up through the garment. For a clean and elegant outlook on congested areas, trimming threads is important.

  • Clearing the Topping – After completing the digitizing of an embroidery design, you should remove the topping with care so that no marks are left on the design. If you are using a water soluble topping, you should try to remove as much as you can with your hands. After that use a damp colour neutral cloth to remove the rest. Make sure that there are no stains or water marks on the fabric before packing it, or it may infuriate your customer.

You must also make sure that you all the hoop marks are removed so as to provide you with that competitive edge. Well, before all of these, make sure that fabric, design, and supplies are correct. You should also check things like design placement and sequencing of threads. These are some minor details that you can take care of.
